August Goals.

I am a list maker through and through. The feeling of accomplishment I get when I cross something off my list is a feeling like none other.  However, I tend to only focus on the day to day tasks (probably because of my “one day at a time” mindset I use to get through most days) and not on my goals as a whole.  Therefore, to start a practice of looking at the big picture, I am going to do a monthly goals post where I list my goals for that particular month at the beginning of the month and then provide an update of my progress in obtaining those goals at the end of the month.  This will be a good way to hold myself accountable and track my progress throughout the year.

My goals for August are as follows:

  1. Blog 4 times a week.
  2. Transition Justin, Amelia, and I into a new morning/evening routine now that Amelia is starting VPK and we will need to be out of the house at an earlier time.
  3. Meal plan at least 3 lunches and 4 dinners a week.
  4. GET BACK TO WORKING OUT at least 3 times a week.
  5. Start coming up with ideas for my 40th birthday (ugh!).

I will touch base with you all at the end of the month and let you know how I did.  Final thought, I feel like I am part of a dying breed who still uses an actual paper agenda.  I picked this one up at the Lilly store during our annual vacation in Boca Grande earlier this year.  I chose the Multi Mermaids Cove Print. It is my first Lilly planner and so far I am liking the layout of the agenda and I have to admit the stickers are pretty stinkin’ cute.  I like that the space for each day in the month view is big enough to fit a couple of entries. I typically only use the month view in an agenda vs. the daily pages, so having enough space is the top feature I look for when shopping for a new agenda.

Do you use an actual planner or a phone/electronic planner? or both?
