I am sure you all are a lot like me and do not know how you functioned before the thing that is Amazon Prime. We average about 2-3 deliveries a week from Amazon and I do not feel the least bit guilty about it. My orders from Amazon cover a range of items, but I wanted to share some Amazon finds that have recently made my life easier (or, me look better).
Zarbee’s Children’s Sleep with Melatonin
Amelia is a night owl and sometimes we have a hard time getting her to settle down and go to bed. While discussing with a friend this same issue, she told me that she uses these melatonin gummies to get her boys to calm down and have a good night’s sleep. I have used other Zarbee’s products and have always been happy with them. I love that a pediatrician created the line and that they are chemical-free and natural. Amelia loves the taste of the gummies and I am sure she thinks they are fruit snacks, so she gives me zero grief about taking them. I definitely notice a difference when she takes them on those days that she is having a hard time settling down. Heck, I even take them from time to time. I just double up on the dosage.

I like water bottles that have straws. I have a Swell bottle and I never use it because I do not like drinking straight from the bottle. This water bottle works just as well as a Swell or Yeti and comes with a pop-up top with attached straw. It also comes with the screw top as well. I bought the 25 ounce for myself and the 17 ounce for Amelia to use at school. I think the Rose Gold color looks awfully chić!
Newton Weighted Blanket – 15 lb.
I first heard about a weighted blanket from a friend of mine. Apparently, weighted blankets are used to aid in conditions such as anxiety, ADHD, stress, autism, and insomnia, to name a few. I suffer from anxiety and insomnia, so my interest was definitely peaked. I was a little concerned about the weight of the blanket (her blanket was heavy) and whether I would feel claustrophobic under it. This weighted blanket was a deal on Prime Day. When I started researching the product I realized that it comes in different weights and that you should choose the weight of the blanket based upon your own weight. I have used it off and on for a few weeks. I find that when I use it my restless leg syndrome is not as crazy and that it does relax me. I am still trying to get use to the weight of the blanket though, it is not easy to move around in the middle of the night! Justin has tried it a few times and he really likes it. If you suffer from anxiety or insomnia, this is definitely a product you should try out.
I resisted buying a pet food container for so long because I did not want to spend the money on one. I would just keep the bags of cat and dog food bags near their bowls and roll down the top of the bag to keep the food fresh. However, anyone that has ever tried to roll down the top of a huge bag of dog/cat food knows that it is damn near impossible. So, I eventually broke down and purchased this double container. I keep the cat food on top and the dog food on the bottom and it comes with a scoop for both. I wanted something that did not take up a lot of room, so this one is perfect. It also comes with roller wheels to make it easier to move, if necessary. I do not regret spending money on this purchase.
I am trying to grow my hair out and it seems like it is taking forever. Prior to getting pregnant my hair grew fast; however, after having Amelia, I definitely noticed a change in the speed that my hair grows. Sloooow comes to mind. I heard and read about Biotin and finally decided to give it a try. I have been taking these pills for about 2 months and I will tell you that in the first 30 days the biggest difference I saw was with my fingernails. They got so strong and long, I was pleasantly surprised (now, we will not talk about how I chewed them all off during a bout of anxiety). It is possible that my hair has grown more since I started taking the pills, but I did not measure my hair to start with, so, I do not have a way to gauge growth. However, I am continuing to take them just for the nail benefit. Any additional hair growth will just be icing on the cake!
Happy Sailed Women Floral Maxi Dress (Blue)
I am always a little leery of ordering “off brand” clothing from Amazon, especially, because you all know that the reviews on Amazon cannot be trusted. However, I went out on a limb and ordered this dress. Let me tell you, I am so glad I did. It is the perfect “I want to be cute, but, I also want to be comfy dress.” It is a little long on me (I am 5ft 2 and 1/2 inches), but, not so long that you trip over the bottom. I wore it with flat sandals and I was fine. It comes in quite a few different colors too.
Meal Prep Containers (3 compartment)
As you all know from my August Goals post, I want to get back to planning out my lunches and dinners for the majority of the week. I did an exercise program a few months back and meal planning was key to me sticking with the program. Typically, I would prepare the food on Sunday and package my meals in these containers. They are reusable, microwave safe, and a great price. There are other options too if you want less compartments.
