I am not going to lie, it’s kind of hard to get excited about Fall when you live in Florida. I mean, I am thankful for those couple of cool days that we get, but, let’s be honest, such days are few and far between. Regardless, I know us Florida girls like to wear our sweaters, jackets, and boots, fill our homes with pumpkin candles and cinnamon brooms and soak up all amazingness that comes with Fall (i.e., college football and pumpkin patches). When I started thinking of buying some new Fall pieces for my closet, Old Navy instantly came to mind. I love shopping at Old Navy because it provides both trendy and staple pieces at an affordable price. I ventured on out last Sunday and tried on some cute Fall items (of course, a couple of those items came home with me) at my local Old Navy. I was going to post this next week; however, I want you to be able to take advantage of any Labor Day sale on-line and/or in store this weekend.
Ok, so, nothing screams “Fall” like plaid and mustard yellow (or, is that marigold?). Regardless, I love this combo. You can wear this shirt completely buttoned up, open with a shirt underneath, tied like I have it in this picture, or wrapped around your waist (think, Seattle grunge style). Also, season after season, ripped jeans remain in style. The high-rise jeans were super comfy and look dang good. I sized up one size in the jeans.

This textured tunic sweater came home with me. It is a light gray color, covers the bum, and is super cozy. A win/win/win in my book. It is also versatile in that it can be worn with jeans, work pants, and leggings. Old Navy has a great selection of leggings/yoga pants (is there really a difference?) that look WAY more expensive than they are. I loved the fit of these leggings; however, I did not buy them because I just.did.not.need another pair of black leggings.

This French-terry boyfriend sweater also came home with me. You know I love a good stripe and, once again, it covers the bum and it’s so cozy. It too is a versatile sweater that can be worn with jeans or leggings. It is a great farmer’s market visit/running errands on the weekend sweater.

Apparently, I cannot get enough of this mustard/marigold color. Ok, so I just looked it up and technically the color is “squash.” This open front sweater also came home with me. It is perfect for work and the weekend. This luxe boat-neck swing tee is a great staple piece for your closet. I would recommend sizing up if you want it to completely cover your bum.

I really liked this sueded knit moto jacket. Unfortunately, they did not have it in my size. Moto jackets have been a thing for a few seasons – and this one looks way more expensive than it is.

This bomber jacket is the bomb (see what I did there?) I love the olive green for Fall. It is not bulky at all, but, did seem like it would keep you warm.

This boho tassel-tie swing top is super cute and I also love the garnet/burgundy color for Fall. Also, for my FSU girls, it is a great game day shirt! Now, it was a little boobalicious, so, depending on the look you are going for, you may want to wear a tank, or bralette underneath.

And, the open face sweater makes another appearance. This sleeveless ruffle-trim top came home with me as well. It is perfect piece for a day to night transition. You can style it with jeans or skinny black pants. Put on some heels and you are ready for date night or drinks with your girls. I posted a picture on Instagram of these Pixie pants in black. They are my new favorite work pant. The Pixie pants come in so many colors and prints – I am definitely going to scoop up some more styles of these pants. I did size up in these. As I said earlier, burgundy is great for the Fall so these Pixie pants are a great Fall item as well. Also, it pairs up nicely with the yellow, I mean, squash. But, I may just be partial to a garnet and gold combo.

This outfit would be Fall cute just by pairing it with a pair of booties (maybe the Vince Camuto dupes I posted on Instagram??) Go follow me on Instagram to get the 4-1-1 on those bad boys. This waist-defined dress is also a perfect day to night transition piece.

I was on the fence about this wide-leg jumpsuit. I think if it was full length, it would have come home with me. I’m short, and you know capri length pants really don’t do us short girls any favors. It was very comfy and could easily be dressed up by adding a statement necklace or earrings and heels!

And, the garnet/burgundy and mustard/squash/gold combo strikes again. This maxi dress has spaghetti straps, but, can easily work for Fall by adding a cardigan or a jean jacket. You can also wear booties with this dress or taller boots – thinking stylish Little House on the Prairie.

I mean, how cute is this cardigan? And, you know, I believe you can never go wrong with an animal print. It pairs nicely with the luxe boat-neck swing tee linked above and the Pixie pant.

Finally, Old Navy is killin’ it with the handbags this season. I loved this olive green tote (I am definitely going to purchase it) and this sueded slouchy hobo. Both bags are affordable, versatile, and perfect for fall.
